With the recent Facebook & Instagram outage that happened last week, I want to remind you why it’s important to diversify the way you interact and communicate with your customers!
A website is an essential aspect of a successful business because іt helps establish credibility and build your brand’s reputation The longer you avoid creating a professional presence online, the less likely you are to reach your audience.
If you aren't already familiar with web design you can start small and build over time. No one knows everything at the beginning. The best advice we can give is to set yourself uр by listening to feedback from customers and make adjustments accordingly. Alternatively there’s always the option of hiring a professional web developer to fill in the gaps for you. In the meantime, if you do have a website for your business it MUST include at least these 5 things:
Are you relying solely on your Facebook page as a means to make sales and draw in potential new business? Take the time to have a quality website made! Social media is a means to get more traffic to your website...you need both!
Is your website responsive? If you don't know what that means watch this video!
I'm sure most of you have made a point of including links to your social media sites at the top/bottom of your website. (If you don't have links at the top AND bottom I suggest you do so as soon as possible!). However, the best way to encourage people to follow you on social media is to use some of the social plugin made available by the specific social site. Which is why I've created a quick how-to for installing some of the more popular plugins.
Have you ever wondered how your website stacks up? There's an awesome and totally FREE tool from HubSpot that will help you figure it out. Check out my video demonstration to see how to use it.

However, a lot of business owners don't dedicate time to another extremely important piece to having a successful digital presence: SEO aka search engine optimization.
